Level 2 - Robotics & Programming Online Self Paced Course

You have one full year to complete the course from the time you sign up! You can work at your own pace.

For the self-paced class kids choose how "deep" they want to go into the material.  There are many lessons and some kids will do all of them and others won't.  The amount of time it takes for a student to go through the entire self paced course is very different for each student.  The way we teach is that we introduce concepts, or an example, then have the kids try and do the next challenge step on their own.  We tell them to pause the video and see if they can program the challenge (lesson) on their own.  Then we always follow it up with the step by step instructions and the "why" so they get clear understanding.  We don't do "click & follow" (there are a few time we have to do this to get to a specific point but it is not a "click & follow" course - if that makes sense).  A student may spend 5 mins or 45 mins trying to work through any given challenge before he/she restarts the video to walk through it with the instructor.  So there is a huge variation in the amount of time it takes any given student to go through the course.

Yes. If your child has a question have them post it in comments. If you have a questions it means someone else probably has the same question. We try to answer within 24 hours. As an alternative, students may email the instructor if they prefer not to post the question in comments.
